Yes. Growing up, and even now, I was the Awesome Since May 2008 14th Birthday Gift 14 Years Old T Shirt book nerd. I didn’t talk unless it was something I really had to say. My nose was always in a book and mindless chatter was a waste of time. I also didn’t like overly loud noises and yelling (this information comes into play in a minute). If I wasn’t at home reading, I was exploring the town on my bicycle, and as I got older, going to sit on the beach and read, going around town taking photos, or hanging out at a local dive coffee shop with a few friends and discussing books, film, music or photography. About two years after I graduated, I was still living at home and going to college. I felt like a huge burden on my parents. They had already given me so much, and here I was at 19 still living and going to school on their dime. It wasn’t fair to them.
